Week 6 Notes and Observations

|

Cardinal O'Hara - Star RB/DB Corey Brown could be out for 4-6 weeks with a knee injury he suffered in the Lion's game against Woodson (DC) last week. It's the worst possible time for O'hara to lose Brown, as the team prepares to fight for one of the four coveted playoff spots.

Bartram - Until last week, Bartram was listed as a AAA team, but after some inquiries, it was determined that the PIAA site had them incorrectly listed and they are once again classified as a AAAA team.

One of our staffers stopped by the North Catholic v Lansdale Catholic JV game. Apparently, he got there just in time to see Drew Pierson kick the game winning 40 yard field goal as the Falcons completed the shut out sweep of Lansdale Catholic (Varsity 13-0, JV 3-0, Frosh 42-0).

Big Games this week: Well, there's only one really big game this week. Roman v O'Hara. Both of these teams are playing really well. O'Hara is on many people's top 10 teams in the state (why? we can't figure that out), and Roman has been pretty much ignored by everyone outside of Philly. Well, O'Hara will face their biggest challenge this week, and they'll have to do it without their top RB and one of their top DB's, Corey Brown, who is out with a knee injury.

Rumor has it that the PIAA is looking to join with an online stats service to allow statistics on a statewide basis. We're not sure if they will require teams to use that service or not, but it certainly is about time someone standardized this process. Our contacts tell us that they have narrowed the field down to HighSchoolSports.net and MaxPreps.com. Our personal opinion is that MaxPreps.com is far and away the better of the two sites. More to follow in the coming months.

Kind of funny story happening in week 7. The North Catholic team is honoring their former players and offering a free t-shirt to the first 100 former players who show up for the game. That game is against Neumann-Goretti, who happens to have a couple of former NC players on their coaching staff, including head coach, Bill Sytsma. We're wondering if coach Sytsma will proudly wear his NC shirt during the game.

Week 6 Philly Top Teams

|

This was an easy week for the poll. Nothing changed. That just tells me that I had it right last week. But, there are a couple of big games that could move some teams up and others down or off this poll. Get out and watch some games this week. It should be worth it.

1. LaSalle (1) 4-1 Last Week: Beat Archbishop Ryan 35-0
LaSalle has already had two tough challenges this season, and this week should be interesting for the Explorers. LaSalle is leading the PCL in passing yards and Judge is giving up the most passing yards. This could be a career day for young Mr Loughery.
Next Week: At Father Judge

2. West Catholic (2) 4-1 Last Week: Beat Archbishop Wood 28-17.
The Burrs took on their former division rival and opponent in the previous 5 PCL Blue championship games. But, Wood fell a little short as the Burrs won the game 28-17. West can put it on auto pilot until they reach states.
Next Week: At Kennedy-Kenrick

3. Roman Catholic (3) 3-1 Last Week: Beat Monsignor Bonner 34-0
This is the week when we find out who the contender is and who the pretender is, when the Cahillites host Cardinal O'Hara, minus star RB/DB Corey Brown. This is my pick for the District 12 game of the week.
Next Week: Cardinal O'Hara

4. Cardinal O’Hara (4) 5-0 Last Week: Beat Woodson (DC) 31-7. Big win against a not so good team (sound familiar?). But, the big loss for the Lions was Corey Brown, their star RB/DB who went down with a knee injury. Expect Brown to miss 4-6 weeks. The sure could use him this week against Roman Catholic
Next Week: At O'Hara (Southern)

5. St Joe Prep (5) 3-2 Last Week: Beat Judge 22-18
A loss to LaSalle and a close win against Judge? Could this really be the chink in the armor that the rest of the PCL has been looking for? Does this mean that the rest of the PCL has finally caught up with the Prep? Prep finally gets a rest this week when they play Ryan.
Next Week: At Archbishop Ryan

6. Frankford (6) 3-1 Last Week: Idle
After getting a week off, the Pioneers resume their quest to regain the Pub AAAA championship. Let's be for real here......the only tough game left on Frankford's schedule is a showdown with Washington in week 7. This week will just be a tune-up.
Next Week : Central

7. Northeast Catholic (7) 4-1 Last Week: Beat Lansdale Catholic 13-0. The Falcons welcomed PCL newcomer, Lansdale Catholic, to the league with a shutout, to start the season 4-1 overall. This is the best start for North since 1987. This week, the Falcons will take on the Patriots of Carroll, who last met North in the 2004 Blue playoffs (Carroll won that game 40-14). Next Week: At Archbishop Carroll

8. Archbishop Wood (8) 3-2 Last Week: Lost to West Catholic 28-17
Wood had a tough week when they went up against a very good West Catholic team. Don't let the "AA" that West is fool you. They are one of the top teams in SE PA. The Vikings are just glad they're no longer in the same division, having been replaced by teams like North Catholic and Lansdale Catholic. The Vikes get an easy one this week (Sorry Bill) when they travel to S. Philly to take on the Saints from Neumann-Goretti.
Next Week: At Neumann-Goretti

9. George Washington (9) 3-1 Last Week : Beat Overbrook 58-14
The Eagles took full advantage of their week off by kicking the stuffing out of an over-matched Overbrook team. But, we all knew that the Pub Red division was really only 2 or 3 teams strong. Washington will take on the other 2 teams in the next two weeks.
Next Week: Northeast

10. Bartram (10) 5-0 Last Week: Beat Lincoln 26-12
Bartram is starting to show up on some people's radars. Being 5-0 will sometimes do that. But, playing a fairly week schedule means that if they get one loss, they'll be banished for good from this list.
Next Week: Northeast

Just missing the cut: Bishop McDevitt (3-2), Father Judge (2-3), Lansdale Catholic (2-3)

AAAA - Top 5
1. LaSalle (4-1)
2. Roman Catholic (3-1)
3. Cardinal O'Hara (5-0)
4. St Joseph Prep (3-2)
5. Frankford (3-1)
Bubble Teams: Bartram (5-0), Father Judge (2-3) , Northeast (2-3), Washington (3-1)

AAA - Top 5
1. Northeast Catholic (4-1)
2. Archbishop Wood (3-2)
3. Dobbins (4-1)
4. Lansdale Catholic (2-3)
5. Conwell-Egan (3-2)
Bubble Teams: Mastbaum (2-2), Simon Gratz (2-3)

AA - Top 5
1. West Catholic (4-1)
2. Bok (5-0)
3. Kennedy-Kenrick (3-2)
4. Franklin (3-1)
5. Bishop McDevitt (3-2)
Bubble Teams: Archbishop Carroll (1-4)

Week 5 Philly Top Teams

|

1. LaSalle (6) 3-1 Last Week: Beat #1 St Joseph Prep 31-17
When you beat the two top teams in this poll in consecutive weeks, you have nowhere to go but to the top of the poll. LaSalle is officially the team to beat in the PCL AAAA division, and possibly the eastern part of the state. Expect the Explorers to cruise this week against Ryan.
Next Week: St Joseph Prep 9/28 (Springfield-Montco)

2. West Catholic (2) 3-1 Last Week: Beat Carroll 63-12
West Catholic made the former small division power look like a bad JV team last week. It looks like there's no stopping the Burrs as they only have one tough game remaining on their schedule. That game is against former division rival, Wood, which they will play this week.
Next Week: Archbishop Wood (Northeast) 9/26

3. Roman Catholic (4) 2-1 Last Week: Beat Chestnut Hill Academy 17-7
A lot of folks thought the Cahillites would come out flat this year after losing a lot of talent to graduation in June. But, other than a close loss to #2 West Catholic, Roman is cruising along so far, looking like they are picking up where they left off last year.
Next Week: Monsignor Bonner (Upper Darby) 9/27

4. Cardinal O’Hara (3) 4-0 Last Week: Beat Bonner 33-0
No matter what we think, the Lions continue to win, so they stay put for now. We'll have to wait until week 6 for O'Hara to finally play a quality opponent.
Next Week: At Woodson (DC) (Widener) 9/27

5. St Joe Prep (1) 2-2 Last Week: Lost to LaSalle 31-17
Could this season be the end of the Prep dominance of the PCL? Probably, but not because Prep is any worse, but mainly because many of the PCL teams have caught up with them. To get back to the top, Prep will have to do it the old fashioned way, they'll have to earn it.
Next Week: Judge (Plymouth-Whitemarsh) 9/28

6. Frankford (5) 3-1 Last Week: Beat Northeast 20-6
Yes, Frankford is a good team. And, they beat another good Pub team in Northeast, but with all of the movement in the Catholic League, Frankford had to drop a spot despite their big win. The Pioneers get a week to rest
Next Week : Idle

7. Northeast Catholic (8) 3-1 Last Week: Beat Pennridge 28-14
The Falcons and the Vikings of Wood swapped spots, even though both teams won last week. North has more quality wins, in our humble opinions. But, this week the Falcons face their first big challenge in the PCL AAA division. Should be a hum-dinger.
Next Week: At Lansdale Catholic (Wissahickon) 9/26

8. Archbishop Wood (7) 3-1 Last Week: Beat Caravel Academy (DE) 20-7
In case you're wondering why Wood dropped a spot despite their win, read the blurb on Northeast Catholic above. The Vikings have a tough game this week, but it doesn't mean anyting except for bragging rights and poll positions. Wood doesn't open the regular season until week 6.
Next Week: At West Catholic (Northeast) 9/26

9. George Washington (9) 2-1 Last Week : Idle
The Eagles get back into action this week after an idle week. Washington opens up the regular season this week, and should figure into the championship in one way or another this season.
Next Week: Overbrook 9/26

10. Bartram (NR) 4-0 Last Week: Beat Olney 32-0
The Maroon Wave (are they still called that?) seems to be dominating teams with their defense, only giving up 6 points in 4 games. The only questions about this team is whether they can keep it going in the White division and are they a AAAA or AAA team?
Next Week: Lincoln 9/26

Just missing the cut: Bishop McDevitt (2-1), Father Judge (1-2), Lansdale Catholic (2-2)

AAAA - Top 5
1. LaSalle (3-1)
2. Roman Catholic (2-1)
3. Cardinal O'Hara (4-0)
4. St Joseph Prep (2-2)
5. Frankford (3-1)
Bubble Teams: Bartram (4-0), Father Judge (1-2) , Northeast (1-3), Washington (2-1)

AAA - Top 5
1. Northeast Catholic (3-1)
2. Archbishop Wood (3-1)
3. Lansdale Catholic (2-2)
4. Dobbins (3-1)
5. Mastbaum (2-2)
Bubble Teams: Conwell-Egan (2-2), Simon Gratz (2-2)

AA - Top 5
1. West Catholic (3-1)
2. Bok (4-0)
3. Kennedy-Kenrick (2-2)
4. Franklin (2-1)
5. Bishop McDevitt (2-2)
Bubble Teams: Archbishop Carroll (1-3)

Week 4 Philly Top Teams

|

This season has not made it easy to rank the teams in District 12, especially this past weekend. Prep lost to North Penn and West Catholic lost to LaSalle. Father Judge, a team that we thought would be right in the thick of things in the AAAA, has already lost 2 games in 3 weeks. But, it's still early and the regular seasons are about to get underway in the AAAA and AA divisions for most of the teams. The AA division begins regular season play next week. There are some good games coming up in the next couple of weeks, and the good teams will win and the not so good teams will fade into the night. Most of the games against non-city teams have passed, and head to head competition will commence. As they say, "Let the Games begin!"

1. St Joe Prep (1) 2-1 Last Game: Lost to North Penn 14-7
Ok, Prep wins and stays at the top of the poll, and you're asking "Why?". Well, since West Catholic also lost (to LaSalle) and Roman had a week 1 setback to West Catholic, the top two will remain the same for this week. Prep opens their regular season against LaSalle, who could be the sleeper in the PCL this season. They are young, they are tough and they execute. Should be a good game to see this week.
Next Game: At LaSalle (Plymouth-Whitemarsh) 9/20

2. West Catholic (2) 2-1 Last Game: Lost to LaSalle
West Catholic got a surprise from LaSalle this past weekend. It should be the last tough game for the Burrs until they hit the stat playoffs. Well, they could have a game with former division rival, Wood in a couple of weeks. West opens their season this week against Archbishop Carroll. Early expectations was for this game to be pivotal in deciding the AA regular season championship, but with Carroll struggling, it could be an easy ride for the Burrs.
Next Game: Archbishop Carroll (Widener University) 9/19

3. Roman Catholic (4) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Souderton 34-14
Souderton came into this game with a 2-0 record after beating eastern power Neshaminy in week 1 and a blowout against former eastern power Downingtown East. Roman didn't play in week 2 due to Tropical Storm Hanna, so they were looking to prove they were still a top team after losing an OT game to West Catholic in week 1. The Cahillites will have an easier game this week, when they take on Inter-Ac power, Chestnut Hill Academy.
Next Game: Chestnut Hill Academy 9/20

4. Cardinal O’Hara (3) 3-0 Last Game: Beat Haverford School 7-0
We know the Lions are undefeated, but they haven't exactly played top teams yet. And, by only getting by Haverford 7-0, we still can't sure if they are for real or not. Once again, O'Hara will not be tested in their game this week, when they travel to Upper Darby to play Bonner.
Next Game: At Bonner 9/19 (Upper Darby)

5. Frankford (NR) 2-1 Last Game: Beat Lincoln 33-0
Frankford is big, they are fast and they can seemingly score at will. We have a feeling that the Pioneers could rip through the public league this year. But, before they do, they need to get by Northeast this week, and Washington in Week 7. But, if they keep going the way they have been so far, look for them to stay in the middle of this top 10 list.
Next Game: At Northeast 9/19

6. LaSalle (NR) 2-1 Last Game: Beat #2 West Catholic 27-26
We have to admit that we ignored LaSalle after their lopsided loss to Malvern in week 2. But, after beating West Catholic, we took notice. The Explorers could very well be the sleeper in the PCL AAAA division this year. But, as usual, the division championship must go through Prep. LaSalle will take that challenge this week. If they can beat or stay close to Prep this week, they are for real. Otherwise, we'll have to move them back to the dumper.
Next Game: #1 St Joseph Prep 9/20 (Plymouth-Whitemarsh)

7. Archbishop Wood (8) 2-1 Last Game: Beat Archbishop Ryan 45-7
Ok, the Woodies beat CHA and Ryan. The Vikings are 1 point away from being undefeated. Beating Ryan was no difficult feat, as they have lost to the Raiders 6 straight times. But, we think this was a message to the league that Wood is for real. We don't know much about Caravel Academy, but we hear their not a bad team, as far as Delaware teams go.
Next Game: At Caravel Academy 9/20

8. Northeast Catholic (10) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Archbishop Ryan 33-1
The Falcons at times look a little sloppy, but won their game against Holy Cross nonetheless. If this team can play up to their potential, they could be a force to be reckoned with in the AAA division. Playing former eastern PA power Pennridge will tell us a lot about this team in 2008.
Next Game: Pennridge 9/19 (Germantown)

9. George Washington (9) 2-1 Last Game: Lost to Central Bucks East 24-13
We really couldn't punish the Eagles for losting to CB East. Not many thought they win this game, and they kept it relatively close. Washington will have the week off before opening up their regular season against Overbrook.
Next Game: Overbrook 9/26

10. Northeast (5) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Lost to Abington 28-14
The Vikings earned our respect by beating Judge in week 2, but they slipped big time this past week in their loss to Abinton. Northeast will have a big hill to climb this week when they host Frankford on Friday night. This game could have serious playoff implications.
Next Game: Frankford 9/19
Just missing the cut: Bartram (3-0), Bishop McDevitt (2-1), Father Judge (1-2)

AAAA - Top 5
1. St Joseph Prep (2-1)
2. Roman Catholic (1-1)
3. Cardinal O'Hara (3-0)
4. Frankford (2-1)
5. LaSalle (2-1)
Bubble Teams: Bartram (3-0), Father Judge (1-2) , Northeast (1-1), Washington (2-1)

AAA - Top 5
1. Archbishop Wood (2-1)
2. Northeast Catholic (2-1)

4. Dobbins (2-1)
5. Mastbaum (2-1)

Tribute to Frankford Legend, Al Angelo

|

One of our staff members stopped by the Frankford-Lincoln game this morning to catch the halftime festivities. We knew the game wouldn't be much to see, but the halftime dedication of the memorial to Al Angelo was worth the wait in the oppressive humidity. Anyway, today's game saw more fans for Frankford than we've seen in quite some time (outside of a Thanksgiving Day game or a championship game). There were state proclamations and many words of remembrance for a coach who was and still is a legend in public league football. The photo above is the memorial that is planted in the garden at the North end of Frankford stadium. It’s a very nice tribute to a great guy who gave many years of dedicated service to the school he loved.

Week 3 Philly Top Teams

|

1. St Joe Prep (1) 2-0 Last Game: Beat St Anthony (NY) 7-6
Prep was the only city team to play on Saturday, mainly because St Anthony spent the weekend in Philly and since they were already here and the game was on artificial turf, I guess they decided to play. St Anthony has won the past 6 Catholic League championships in NYC, so this was no walk in the park for the Hawks. As long as they continue to win, they will stay at the top of this poll.
Next Game: At North Penn 9/12

2. West Catholic (2) 2-0 Last Game: Beat Penn Charter 35-0
A lot of players on the West Catholic team got rested as they cruised past Penn Charter. The Burrs have one more pre-season game (LaSalle) before begining their march through the AA division. Don't expect West to drop below #2 for most of this year. They are for real.
Next Game: LaSalle 9/13 (Plymouth-Whitemarsh)

3. Cardinal O’Hara (3) 2-0 Last Game: Beat Germantown 47-6
We're a little uneasy keeping O'Hara this high in the poll, but they are 2-0 against some easy opponents, while many other top teams have fallen to supposedly lesser teams. We really won't know what the Lions have until they play a quality opponent. Week 3 is not the quality opponent that we're looking for.
Next Game: At Haverford School 9/12

4. Roman Catholic (4) 0-1 Last Game: Game with Poly Prep Cancelled
Roman's game against Poly Prep was cancelled due to the tropical storm and the long distance Poly would have had to cover from NY. So, with that said, we're leaving the Cahillites right where they were pending their game next week with District 1 power Souderton. This game should test Roman and tell us whether or not they are one of the elite of the District teams.
Next Game: Souderton 9/12 (10th & Bigler)

5. Northeast (NR) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Father Judge 17-14
Northeast earned our respect by knocking off Father Judge in week 2. The offensive scheme features the passing game as the Vikings ran circles around the bigger, but slower, Crusaders. Northeast will play their second District 1 team next week before opening their regular season against Frankford.
Next Game: At Abington 9/12

6. Archbishop Wood (8) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Chestnut Hill Academy 31-7
Wood moves up a couple of spots after beating a decent Inter-Ac team in CHA. Not only did they beat CHA, but they put a whooping on them. We still want to see Wood play a quality opponent, but that probably won't happen until week 4 when they play the #2 Burrs from West Catholic. Then again, I can't remember the last time Wood beat Ryan. It's been a while.
Next Game: Archbishop Ryan 9/13 (Wissahickon)

7. George Washington (NR) 2-0 Last Game: Beat Truman 12-6
Washington is one of only a handful of teams who are now 2-0, so they have to be in the top 10. We'd still like to see the Eagles dominant some of these lesser District 1 teams, but like the old saying goes, "A win is still a win," hence their entry into this poll.
Next Game: Central Bucks East 9/12 (Northeast)

8. Lansdale Catholic (6) 1-0 Last Game: Lost to North Penn 34-12.
We don't think many people expected the Crusaders to beat North Penn this week, but it would have helped their cause if they would have kept it closer than a 22 point loss. We saw Lansdale Catholic against Downingtown East in week 1 and where they lack size and speed, they make up for with grit and determination. This is a relatively young team, so expect them to get better as the year moves on.
Next Game: Upper Moreland 9/12 (Wissahickon)

9. Frankford (9) 1-1 Last Game: Lost to Pennsbury 19-10
After losing to Pennsbury, a team that barely got by Archbishop Ryan, we have to wonder whether the Pioneers are ready for prime time in District 12. Frankford will have to wait until week 4 to get tested by a city team (Northeast), but you really can't argue with them being in the top 10.
Next Game: Lincoln 9/13

10. Northeast Catholic (NR) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Archbishop Ryan 33-1
The Falcons came out and dominated the Raiders from Ryan, exploding for 33 points in just 3 quarters of play before pulling all of their starters. Four of the first five games the Falcons play this year are against teams they are playing for the very first time.
Next Game: Holy Cross (NY) 9/13 (10th & Bigler)

11. Monsignor Bonner (NR) 1-1 Last Game: Beat Interboro 7-6
We added Bonner to this spot because of their losing streak breaking win against Interboro, which snapped their 24 game losing streak. We just wanted to recognize the Friars for their win.

Just missing the cut: Bartram (2-0), Bishop McDevitt (1-1), Frankford (1-1), Father Judge, LaSalle (1-1)

AAAA - Top 5
1. St Joseph Prep (2-0)
2. Cardinal O'Hara (2-0)

Week 2 Philly Top Teams

|

The Top 10 in District 12.

1. St Joe Prep (2) - 1-0 Last Game: Beat Parkland 20-13
Parkland was on the USA Today top 25 list before this game. Now, I’m sure they won’t be as the Prep beat them 20-13 on Friday night. Prep now takes on 6 time NYC Catholic League champ St Anthony in a battle of the best teams from Philly and New York. Next Game: St Anthony (NYC) 9/6

2. West Catholic (3) 1-0 Last Game: Beat #1 Roman Catholic 34-28 OT
With West returning many of their stars from their 2007 team, and Roman losing many of their marquee players, many people saw this as being a good game. The Burrs and Cahillites didn’t disappoint, with this game going to OT. Next Game: At Penn Charter 9/6

3. Cardinal O’Hara (4) 1-0 Last Game: Beat Archbishop Carroll 35-0
The staff here still has concerns about O’Hara’s easy pre-season schedule, but due to their sound whooping of one of the better District 12 AA teams, we’ll leave the Lions high on the list. They’ll need another sound thrashing at Germantown next week to stay among the elite teams of the city. Next Game: At Germantown 9/5

4. Roman Catholic (1) 0-1 Last Game: Lost to West Catholic 34-28 OT
Our expectation was that West Catholic would beat Roman easily this week. But, with a lot of new players as well as a new head coach, the Cahillites hung tough and came up just short against what could be the second best team in Philly. Next Game: Next: Poly Prep (NY) 9/6

5. Father Judge (7) 1-0 Last Game: Beat Council Rock North 35-20
Despite off season concerns, it looks like the Crusaders found a QB after all. Since Judge usually fields pretty decent teams, we’re leaving them higher on the list. The Crusaders don’t have an exceptionally tough pre-season schedule, so they’ll have to have some big wins to stay with the big boys. Next Game: At Northeast 9/5

6. Lansdale Catholic (6) 1-0 Last Game: Beat Downingtown East 14-7
Lansdale Catholic not only moved from AA to AAA this season, but they also joined the PCL. They soundly beat the Cougars from Downingtown East, despite the low score. With a RB turned QB and a DT turned FB, this team should move the ball down the field with ease this season. What they lack in speed, they make up for in toughness. It should be fun watching this team in 2008. Next Game: At North Penn 9/5

7. LaSalle (NR) 1-0 Last Game: Beat Plymouth-Whitemarsh 45-0
Our expectation this season was that LaSalle would be in a rebuilding year. But, it looks like Drew Loughrey just stepped in and is taking over where John Harrison left off. Based on their sound beating of Plymouth-Whitemarsh, the Explorers deserve to be in the top 10, at least for now. Next week, they will take on the class of the Inter-Ac. Next Game: At Malvern Prep 9/6

8. Archbishop Wood (5) 0-1 Last Game: Lost to Pennridge 43-42 3OT
The jury is still out on Wood this year. They lost in 3OT periods to Pennridge. One of our staff members didn’t think much of Pennridge, based on what he saw in one of their scrimmages. But, scoring 42 points on this Pennridge team is no small task. We’ll let the Vikings hang out in the top ten for at least another week. Next Game: Chestnut Hill 9/6

9. Frankford (8) 1-0 Last Game: Beat Hatboro-Horsham 14-7
Beating H-H is a big deal for Frankford, but it’s not a big enough win to move the Pioneers up the top 10 list. Yes, they will most likely be the class of the Philly Pub, but there are too many better city teams that we believe are just better at this point in the season. Next Game: At Pennsbury 9/5

10. Archbishop Ryan (NR) 0-1 Last Game: Lost to Pennsbury 21-20
By all accounts, the Raiders were robbed in this game. Pennsbury came into this game as the overwhelming favorite and Ryan only lost with help from a wacky call late in the game to allow the Falcons to slip out with a win. Despite the loss, this game puts Ryan in the top 10. Next Game: Northeast Catholic 9/6

Just missing the cut: Bishop McDevitt (1-0), Central (0-0), George Washington (1-0), Northeast (0-1), Northeast Catholic (0-1)

AAAA - Top 5
1. St Joseph Prep (1-0)
2. Cardinal O'Hara (1-0)
3. Roman Catholic (0-1)
4. Father Judge (1-0)
5. LaSalle (1-0)
Bubble Teams: Frankford (1-0), Washington (1-0), Archbishop Ryan (0-1)

AAA - Top 5
1. Lansdale Catholic (1-0)
2. Archbishop Wood (0-1)
3. Northeast Catholic (0-1)
4. Mastbaum (1-0)
5. Conwell-Egan (0-1)

AA - Top 5
1. West Catholic (1-0)
2. Bishop McDevitt (1-0)
3. Archbishop Carroll (0-1)
4. Bok (1-0)
5. Furness (1-0)
